1. Click on Whats App & Chat Bots
2. Click on WAB Accounts
3. Click on the WAB Account you would like to configure templates for
You will select the account that was configured in Laminin
4. Under Templates, click on "Add"
You will now add a template in Laminin
5. Give the template a name
Note that the name needs to be in all lowercase with no spaces. You can utilize a "_" in between should you need to have it spaced
6. Select a Category
You will now select a category for the Template. There are 3 options - "Authentication", "Marketing" and "Utility"
Each category has different charges based on the Meta's pricing.
You can also link a ChatBot to the Template if you have it setup. The starting block can be added under the Starting Block dropdown.
7. Select the "Active" checkbox once the "Name" and "Category" has been selected
8. Click on "Save" to move to the "Component Message Types" section
9. Under Template Components, click on "Add"
You will now create the message components in this section
10. Template Component Details
You will now add in the component details. You have multiple Component Types and all components will be shown in the next sections. You can start by selecting "Header" as the Component Type.
11. Select a Header Format
Under the Header Format you will have multiple options to select:
Document: This is where you can add a document to the template to send to a customer on WhatsApp
Image: This is where you can display an image, where you will drop and or browse an image
Location: This format will allow you to send a location on the template to the customer
Text: You can populate a message up to 60 characters on the Template
Video: You can link a Video into the Template that the customer can view on WhatsApp
12. Header Completion Steps
Click on "Save" once you have completed the Header component
13. Return to Template Components
Select the Back button to move onto the next component Type
14. Click on Add
15. Creating a Body from Component Type
You can now create the body of the template that is up to 1024 Characters and can be populated with the main message that you want to send to a customer via WhatsApp
16. Adding Messages with Chat Variables
You can add Component Variables from the Laminin system by adding a {{}} text in the body. In the text you can add numeric values from 1 - 10 to reference details of the customer in Laminin
17. Click on "Save"

From the body created in the previous step, you can now select from the different modules as shown. In this example we will use Assigned User.
20. Select Field Name from Module
We will now select a field name to add to the Variable. In the below image we will use the FullName from the Module. You can use any Field Name that are available in the respective Module selected.
21. Adding an Example for the Component Variable
You will select the Key (Number from the Variable), in this case it will be 1 for the variable {{1}} added to the body from the previous steps. Once selected you will also need to add and example.
The below example identifies that we have selected to display the leads Assigned User name and we will add the Example "Michael"
22. Click on Save
23. Adding a Footer
24. Select Footer from Component Type
Under the Footer Component Type, you can add up to 60 characters to the message that will be the last message or signature on your template.
25. Type your message in the "Text" area
26. Click on "Save"
27. Adding a Quick Reply to the Template
28. Select Quick Reply from Component Type
You can also add a Quick Reply to the template that will be sent to a customer should they click onto the text. The text can be up to 25 Characters.
Once the customer clicks on the quick reply it will initiate a conversation between Laminin and the client which can either be linked to a chatbot, or to an agent that can have a one on one conversation with the client.

Under the intent words, you can reference the same message in your text from the previous screen or you can customize this
31. Click on "Save"
Once you have added all text to the Quick Reply you can click on Save
32. Preview of Template Message once all Components are added
You can preview the Template Message you have created with the above steps in your components.
Once you are are happy with the preview, you will then select the "Submit for Review"
This will send the template to Meta to review on your account. Meta will update Laminin with a status for the template (example Approved) and the category will also be updated based on Meta's review.
33. Status of Templates
To update the status on the Templates you will select the "Sync" button which will update the status within Laminin. If a template is marked as "Not Submitted", you will need to go back in to submit for review.
Once you the status is Approved you can now utilize this within your workflows via an Action Button to trigger the template message to the Customer through WhatsApp
34. Template Message Approval
As soon as your template message is approved, you can send it to customers in the following ways:
- Send via a action button in the lead screen.
- Send via workflow automation.
- Send via the WhatsApp interface in Laminin.
