How to import contacts through the Contacts module
1. Create a CSV file with the contacts you want to import
The CSV file must have a ContactTypeId field with these values:
0 = Customer
1 = Potential Customer
2 = Supplier
The rest of the field headings and values can be anything, it will be mapped later in this process.
2. Click on Contacts
3. Click on Import
4. Select the CSV file you want to import from your local storage device (created in Step 1)
5. Map the ContactTypeId field from your CSV file to the ContactTypeId field in Laminin
6. Map the Name field from your CSV file to the FullName field in Laminin
7. Map the Contact Number field from your CSV file to the PrimaryPhone field in Laminin
8. Map the Email field from your CSV file to the PrimaryEmail field in Laminin
9. Map the Company field from your CSV file to the Supplier field in Laminin
10. You can map any other fields in your CSV file to the appropriate Laminin fields
11. Click on Preview Contacts
This will give you a preview of the contacts you are about to import
12. Click on Import Contacts
13. You will receive a notification of imported contacts and duplicate contacts
Note that if a telephone number already exists in your Contacts the system will not import that contact
14. Click on Close
15. The new contacts are now imported
